MLB Commissioner Bud Selig has taken control of the Los Angeles Dodgers franchise after several incidents by Dodgers owner Frank McCourt.Among other reasons for the move where the fact that McCourt had used charity fund money to pay off executives, a bitter divorce proceeding between McCourt and his wife and a recent incident where a visiting Giants fan was savagely beaten following a game. The Giants fan remains in a coma.
The move was made on Wednesday, and McCourt immediately released a statement saying he believes Selig has no reason to overtake the team. Fans will probably have a different opinion.
